Lolita

My name is Hannah. I like shoes and booze and watch a lot of stupid tv. I spend most of my time with a fat cat you will come to know & love.

I know it’s two in the morning and most of you are sleeping, studying or drunk but whatever and who cares and I made this because I can’t sleep and I’m not studying and I’m dead sober. This is a picture of a filing box full of my favorite books. I had a lot more books once, but in a mad dash to make a quick buck, I sold all the ones I probably wasn’t going to read again. So, like, cool beans?
Not a book. But a composition notebook that chronicles a significant time in my life so it’s kind of like a really sad handwritten book filled with non sequiturs and letters.
The Sandman by Neil Gaiman. Volume 7, Brief Lives (graphic novel)
Watchmen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons (graphic novel)
1602 series by Neil Gaiman (comic)
Sifting Through the Madness for the Word, the Line, the Way by Charles Bukowski (poems)
Love Is a Dog From Hell by Charles Bukowski (poems)
Reality Hunger: A Manifesto by David Shields
Magical Thinking by Augusten Burroughs (signed! because my friends are cool)
Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac
The Adderall Diaries by Stephen Elliott
Invisible by Paul Auster
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer
The Raw Shark Texts by Steven Hall (if you have read/liked House of Leaves, be sure to test this book out and have your head explode)
Waiting For Godot by Samuel Beckett (one of my favorite plays)
The Tibetan Book of the Dead translated by Robert A.F. Thurman
The World’s Religions by Huston Smith
The Plague by Albert Camus
Moleskine journals through the years
House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski (as you can see my copy is in a tattered state with dirt on the edges, the front cover has fallen off, practically every page has writing and no, I will not let you borrow it because it is as much a part of me as my heart or my lungs so go get your own)
Hey Princess by Mats Jonsson (graphic novel)
Apathy and Other Small Victories by Paul Neilan (a small novel but an unproportionally hilarious work)
I MISSED 22 SO SUE ME
Life of Pi by Yann Martel
The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer
The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde (in this cool collector’s edition)
Tales of Ordinary Madness by Charles Bukowski
The Sirens of Titan by Kurt Vonnegut
Currently Not Pictured but Worth Mentioning
Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace
Consider The Lobster by David Foster Wallace
When You Are Engulfed In Flames by David Sedaris
Breakfast of Champions by Kurt Vonnegut
Cat’s Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut
Timequake by Kurt Vonnegut
Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky
The Harry Potter series
